About The Stronger Path
I’m Melanie. A designer. A mother. And now, a guide for women facing divorce.
The Stronger Path was built from personal experience. My marriage ended suddenly. I was emotionally frozen, financially stranded, and completely unprepared. No one explained what was happening. No one slowed things down. I didn’t know what I was signing. I didn’t even know what questions to ask.
My ex-husband controlled everything, including the money. When he left, I had nothing. Friends were supportive, but couldn’t offer solutions. The GP suggested medication. Solicitors assumed I understood the system. But what I needed was someone to walk beside me, explain what to expect, and help me respond from a place of strength.
That person didn’t exist, so I became her.
With a background in design and education, I’ve spent years making complex information simple and clear. But even with that, divorce was chaos. That’s the gap this service fills. The space between emotional overload and calm, informed action.
Why I created The Stronger Path
Most women make major legal and financial decisions when they’re overwhelmed, heartbroken, and unsure who to trust. That’s when mistakes happen.
I created The Stronger Path to change that.
- To be a steady voice when everything else is noise.
- To give you space before replying.
- To review the message you don’t know how to send.
- To explain what’s happening, what your options are, and where to turn for solid help.
You don’t have to answer straight away. You don’t have to prove anything. You can take a breath. That breath might protect your future.
What I offer
I’m not a solicitor. I’m not a therapist. I don’t give legal or medical advice.
Here’s what I do instead:
- Create a calm space to talk things through
- Help you understand the process and what to expect
- Support you with practical forms and written documents
- Help you find the right solicitor or service
- Work with you to write clear, confident messages that reflect your position
This is practical support at the hardest point: the beginning. When you have someone in your corner, you make stronger decisions.
Giving back, one woman at a time
For every four clients I work with, I offer a free solidarity session to someone with no support.
It’s for the woman who’s just been blindsided, left without money, guidance, or a plan. The kind of woman I was.
When you work with me, you’re also helping someone else find her footing. That’s how real community works.
The solidarity session includes
- A free 60-minute session
- Help drafting one key message
- A clear, practical next-step plan
- Signposting to free or low-cost support
No one should face divorce alone.
While my support is built with women in mind, anyone who needs clear, practical help during divorce is welcome to reach out and make stronger decisions. When you have someone in your corner who understands what you’re going through and walks with you as you find your way forward.
